If you’ve been following me for a while, you might have noticed this little quote hiding in the corner of my desk in some photos. Out of all the printable quotes I have, this is my favorite.
THIS printable quote has gotten me through some tough, unmotivated study times. The quote reminds me that I don’t go to medical school for the grades, or pats on the back. I study medicine so that one day, when a patient needs me to be their doctor, when they need someone knowledgable and reliable, then they can put their faith in me. I study so that I can make the right calls, draw the right conclusions, and hopefully have a positive impact in the lives of my future patients.
There’s this popular photo all over the Internet that I saw and loved when I found it many years ago. I felt like it was a bit too morbid to stick on my desk, but I do love the message it sends.
